Sensical, Free Streaming Service For Kids 2-10, Highlights Black History Month

February 1st marked the start of Black History Month so We Empower Magazine wanted to share some the programming highlights from  Sensical, the free streaming service for kids 2-10, a celebration of Black storytellers and diverse voices. If you’re not familiar, Sensical offers thousands of entertaining, age-appropriate videos and podcasts featuring characters and creators that children love. Inspired by the expertise of Common Sense Media, a trusted resource for parents for almost two decades, Sensical offers content for three distinct age groups — ages 2-4 (Preschool), 5-7 (Little Kids), and 8-10 (Big Kids) — all screened by experts and filtered through a rigorous, proprietary rubric based on the most comprehensive child development research available. Grounded in science, the topic-driven, 60+ channel service is certified by the kidSAFE+ ® COPPA Seal Program and offers families an algorithm-free, worry-free OTT destination via an array of streaming devices, smart TV manufacturers, and mobile devices.

Sensical wants all kids to see themselves in the stories, creators, actors, and culture featured in  their content all year long. This month, in celebration of Black History Month,  Sensical is shining a special spotlight on Black stories and Black creator excellence.  The “Celebrate Black Stories” collection of videos teaches kids about Black art, history, and culture, and introduces them to famous Black inventors and change-makers.
