Lucille Reddic Discusses Helping Married Women Create Happy Marriages

Speaker, financial coach, and certified information systems auditor, Lucille Reddic’s eldest daughter died of a brain hemorrhage in 2019, she was reminded that life is too short not to live her dream of helping married women. Lucille is a woman of God who has dedicated her life to impacting the lives of others. She is the founder of the Chosen Wives Tribe, a community of women committed to inspiring and empowering women to transform their minds and character to create healthy and happy marriages. Whether she is posting encouraging quotes, speaking to a group of women, hosting a podcast, making a quick video to speak life into the lives of wives everywhere, it is from a posture of gratitude for the gift her marriage has been in her life.

We Empower Magazine got an exclusive interview with Lucille.

What sparked your passion to help others with their marriages?

Lucille: I believe that marriage is created by God and that he manifests his majesty and blessings through it in a special way. I am passionate about helping women navigate the ups and downs of marriage because strong marriages create strong families. Strong families create the next generation. Satan wants to destroy the family to keep us distracted so that our focus is drawn away from our purpose.

When I got married, I didn’t know how to be a good wife. My parents got divorced when I was in second grade. I didn’t have an example of what it would take to keep my marriage happy and healthy. God places some amazing women in my life to talk me down from the ledge when I wanted to throw in the towel and get a divorce. I want to encourage and support wives the way they encouraged and supported me. We just celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary. There were times when I didn’t think we would make it but I’m so glad that we did. I want to save thousands of wives from the emotional pain and life disruption that divorce causes. God did it for us and He can do it for you.

From your perspective, what are some essential ingredients for creating an exceptional marriage?

Lucille: From my perspective, some essential ingredients for creating an exceptional marriage are:

1. Our marriage belongs to God; therefore, we should be praying for our marriage and husband. We should ask God to help us to see him the way that he sees him.

2. Communication! We need to speak our husband’s Love Language and listen with our heart. We need to know our Love Language so that we show him how to express love to us.

3. Forgiveness, Romance, Lovemaking, and Handling Money Matters!

I believe these are the foundational ingredients for a happy and healthy marriage.

Please tell us about your latest book and how can our readers get hold of a copy?

Lucille: The name of my latest book is “That Secret Sauce: Essential Ingredients for Creating an Exceptional Marriage.” I share concepts and ideas about prayer, communication, commitment, physical touch, sex, forgiveness, and finances just to name a few. I share a few personal stories about how I dealt with some difficult issues. The book is specifically written to married women but has information that could also help husbands. I would like readers to know that there is no such thing as a perfect marriage. Also, that they are not alone. Social Media will have you thinking that you are the only one struggling with highs and lows of marriage. The truth is that we are all dealing with something. My book can be purchased online at www.thatsecretsaucebook.com.

What have been some of the most memorable moments in your career so far?

Lucille: Some of the most memorable moments in coaching wives has been when they tell me that something I said changed their perspective and they were able to use some of the strategies we discussed to improve their marriages. It warms my heart to see their marriages not just surviving but thriving.

You are known for inspiring and empowering women. When you think of women empowerment, what comes to mind?

Lucille: I believe that women’s empowerment is promoted when women feel they have the power to make decisions that are best for lives. Many women put themselves last because they are wives, mothers, nurturers, and caregivers. I help women to see that they can’t pour from an empty cup. We must practice self-care. I say to the woman that’s reading this right now, YOU MATTER!

What do you enjoy most about the work that you do?

Lucille: I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. Everyone has a fascinating story. My goal is to help everyone woman I work with feel seen, heard, and loved. We laugh and sometimes we cry together. I enjoy supporting them in their journey to finding their voice and being able to speak their truth in love.

What are some super fun facts about yourself that many people are not aware of?

Lucille: Some fun facts that most people don’t know is that I’m very competitive and I love playing board and tabletop games. I love, love, love, to attend Broadway shows. I have seen the Hamilton Musical 4 times in person and 100+ times on television. I watched it every day while working out.

What do you hope for yourself in 2022?

Lucille: In 2022, I will be starting the Chosen Wives Tribe Podcast as another way to encourage married women. I will continue promoting my book, “That Secret Sauce: Essential Ingredients for Creating an Exceptional Marriage.” I will be launching a course to help wives create happy and healthy marriages.
