Interview With Author, and Entrepreneur, Kiya Page

As a mother of four Kiya Page uses her pain as strength to become an author, speaker, and entrepreneur. When her daughter was sentenced to 30 years in prison, she began to rebuild from the ground floor. Starting with her personal accounts she poured her feelings in her masterpiece Surviving the Sentence published in 2020. Shortly after releasing a book, she opened a drug testing lab Page Testing Solutions in McDonough, GA October 2020 to serve her community.

We Empower magazine got an exclusive interview with Kiya.

Please tell us about your business the, work that you do, and the services that you provide?

Kiya Page: I am the owner-operator of Page Testing Solutions located in McDonough GA. With just over a year in business, we offer a range of services. Page Testing Solutions is a drug testing facility testing for pre-employment, DOT, COVID, and everything in between. We also offer early gender reveal, DNA services, Fingerprint, and virtual mailboxes.

In what ways does your brand empower others?

Kiya Page: My brand empowers others through my leadership and success. Being an owner of a drug testing facility, I am a part of a community where many black women are not included. I know my responsibility to my community is to reach back and be an example of how to be successful in this market.

It’s Black History Month! What does this time of the year mean for you and what initiatives do you take part in during this time?

Kiya Page: Black History is 365 through my eyes. Living in Georgia I’ve gained the perspective that we are the future of our history. I desire to partner with other organizations to assist with increasing knowledge for the next entrepreneurs of tomorrow.

What do you enjoy most about being an entrepreneur?

Kiya Page: What I enjoy most about being an entrepreneur is having complete control and the freedom to move my business how I envision. I love being an entrepreneur!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Kiya Page: In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my children and grandchild.

What is a fun fact about yourself that many are not aware of?

Kiya Page: One fun fact is I am a serial entrepreneur previously owning a shoe boutique storefront 4myLadies and a clothes and accessories KKulture.

What are you currently working on?

Kiya Page: Currently, with Page Testing Solutions we are expanding our reach with community and business events and a new location. Also implementing programs with my nonprofit Surviving the Sentence LLC focusing on reentry from prison for women.

What does the remainder of the year look like for you?

Kiya Page: 2022 is full of opportunities and new business deals. Looking forward to the growth, lessons, and prosperity.

What else would you like us to know about?

Kiya Page: I am a published author of Surviving the Sentence about the struggle between my daughter, her father, and I going through my daughter’s 30-year sentencing. My book is for purchase in my office, Amazon, BAM, and Barnes and Noble.
