Please tell us about Revitalized Hope and Healing and how it came about?

Nydria: I was once that girl that lost hope due to experiences and my environment. I then grew up into that woman that was hunted by those times and in turn, hopelessness settled in again. When you lose hope it’s a temporary thing, you need inspiration, encouragement, and support for it to be restored.

Revitalized Hope/ ReHope was established because I wanted a brand that signified that you could reclaim your hope that was lost. You can relive and renew your spirit and hope can be established again. People are stuck because they don’t believe things are possible because their hope has been killed, hope must be revived!

What inspired you to write the book Radical Woman: 1 in a Million?

Nydria: I was asked to be a part of this anthology by the visionary Ayanna Mills-Ambrose. I was honored, jumped at the chance, but I must admit once I realized I had to dig deep and tell my story I was challenged. Then I realized this wasn’t just about me, there are millions of women out there that need to know that they are not alone, what they are/were feelings happen to others and there is support.

The title of my chapter is “What Ever Happened to a Dream Deserved?” I’ve always had big dreams in my mind that nested in my heart, but there were several times I felt so beat and weigh down, I never thought I would achieve them. There were other times, my self-esteem and confidence were destroyed, I thought I didn’t deserve them. I never stopped fighting, there was that little voice in me, that would talk me out of it, and that was God. He reassured me I was deserving, so I fought against all odds and demanded what I deserved!

What do you enjoy most about the work that you do?

Nydria: I enjoy the transformation. The idea is that women understand what they can do for themselves, that they are worth it. They sometimes arrive empty and defeated. When I see them leave so full and feeling like they can conquer the world, I am satisfied. Knowing that I made some sort of impact, each and every day fuels my soul.

When you think of women empowerment, what comes to mind?

Nydria: Women empowerment means motivating the next woman to help them obtain all they deserve in life, inspiring to believe it is possible, and creating change that transcends to future generations.

What is a super fun fact about yourself that many people are not aware of?

Nydria: My first entrepreneurial venture was the hair business, which started in 10th grade out of my parents’ basement and continued until my junior year of college at Temple University off campus. Never formally trained, just a natural skill, that people trusted and paid for.

What is a quote that you live by?
