Career Explorer defines a music artist as someone who creates, performs, and releases music either independently or through a record label. The commitment level of a music artist is extreme, living sometimes a nomadic and taxing lifestyle and spending long days and nights in the studio recording music. They travel constantly, performing their music to small and large audiences with the goal of expanding their fan base.
Being a music artist requires a lot of talent, skill, and knowledge. Talent alone is not enough, but must be coupled with continual studying, learning, and practicing. During the beginning stages of the pandemic, music artists and entertainers had to find other ways to get their artists seen and heard.
Online boosted the careers of music artists performing shows online, having listening parties online, talking to their fans more online, sharing more of their everyday world online, and having more time to just create. Today we take a look at a super talented entertainer by the name of Deniro.
Rapper, Actor, Model, and Father Donovan Berry aka Deniro Bossa comes to us from Long Island City, born in Brooklyn. Deniro is the CEO of Rabbit Skins ENT and the Co-Owner of BIG Est ENT. Being a father in the entertainment industry is a lot to balance but he is doing it with grace and excellence. We Empower Magazine got to get an exclusive interview with him.
Tammy: How would you describe yourself?
Deniro: The life of the party, the energy, and a good person you always want to be around.
Tammy: What do you enjoy most about being in the entertainment industry?
Deniro: Making music that I can express myself.
Tammy: What was your childhood like?
Deniro: My childhood had ups and downs.
Tammy: How do you balance being a father and your career?
Deniro: I make sure my father’s duties come first then music.
Tammy: What can we be on the lookout for from you?
Deniro: My new EP is out now called Unarmed and Still Dangerous 2.
Tammy: How has the pandemic made you a better person?
Deniro: I was able to see who is really here for me.
Tammy: What is a quote that you live by?
Deniro: Be a leader and watch them follow.
Tammy: In what ways do you use your platform to empower others?
Deniro: I’m the voice for people that don’t have the courage to speak for themselves.
Tammy: What advice would you have for those who aspire to enter the entertainment world?
Deniro: Be yourself and don’t change for anyone.
