Ki Williams: Author and CEO of Editing & Publishing Company Bleeding Ink Creatives

Ki Williams is a fiction author, ghost writer, grant writer and journalist, as well as the CEO of Bleeding Ink Creatives.

Bleeding Ink Creatives is a boutique publishing haven based in Miami, Florida. Their vision is to support indie authors by cultivating a creative house for their literary works through publishing, editing, and writing. Ki uses her years of skill, education and expertise to help others start and finish their literary projects.

She also serves as a Coach for authors and business owners of other literary companies, offering her unique strategies and tips for accomplishing their goals. We Empower Magazine got an exclusive interview with Ki.

When you first pursued your career as an author and CEO, what impact did you intend to make?

As author I wish to provide stories that allow my readers to escape everyday life, sit back and relax while enjoying a creative work of fiction. As the founder of Bleeding Ink Creatives, a boutique publishing company, I wish to support indie authors by cultivating a creative house for their literary works through publishing, editing and writing.

We would love to hear about your books that are currently released.

I Am My Sister’s Keeper series: I Am My Sister’s Keeper is the first work of dramatic fiction that I released in 2018. {Through love and war, sisters Victoria and Sade have always had each other’s back. Blessed with sisters in life, Cher and Rae, the ladies have forged an unbreakable bond, a sisterhood. Knowing that love is a choice, when one calls, in line they all fall! With secrets of love, lies, murder and mystery buried deep in Pandora’s Box, I Am My Sister’s Keeper reminds us to be grateful for the truest relationships in our lives, and to pay attention to those that are there in the trenches ready to rise with you like the Phoenix.}

The Sequel is entitled His Eyes Are Watching. {Settling into the calm after the storm that was the Joshua-Antonio saga, Victoria and Sade are hoping to finally put their past behind them. Grateful for true sister- friends, their bond with Cher and Rae continues to be a blessing in every way. From wedding bells to widow’s hell and ghosts of past transgressions, the love, lies and secrets once buried deep in Pandora’s Box are again resurfacing.}

I have also published a journal entitled Release Your Thoughts. The journal was created to offer a free write space for creatives to let their ink do the talking, releasing their thoughts without judgement of
who may or may not like it.

As a business woman, what obstacles have you overcome that made you the woman you are today?

The road has not always been smooth, but every step has been worth the journey. I have begun to move away from giving power to the varying obstacles that have been placed before me just waiting to trip
me up and deter me from my goals. I don’t believe in coincidences. For one reason or another there will always be something or even someone that may serve as a roadblock for you on life’s journey. The key is to take life’s lessons and own them as blessings right along with your accomplishments and successes.

When you think of women empowerment, what comes to mind?

Accepting women’s viewpoints or making an effort to seek them, and raising the status of women through education, awareness, literacy, and training comes to mind when I think of women empowerment. Most importantly, women empowerment is about providing equal opportunities for women.

What do you enjoy most about the work that you do?

Writing. There’s a sweet serenity that washes over me when I immerse my soul in the art of writing.

What are you currently working on?

The third installment in the IAMSK series, Dead or Alive, A Fall From Grace is set to release this winter.
