RECAP: “Brat Loves Judy” Watch Party and Why You Need to Tune In

Da Brat, and her girlfriend Jesseca “Judy” Dupart brought out Atlanta VIP’s last Thursday night, for the premiere of their brand-new WE tv original docu-series, “Brat Loves Judy.” Held at Views Bar & Grill in downtown Atlanta, in attendance was Kandi Burruss, Todd Tucker, Yandy & Mendeecees, Keke Wyatt, Trina Braxton, Sunshine Anderson, Miss Lawrence, Milan Christopher, Ms. Juicy, Abira (“Little Women ATL”), Ms. Pooh, Melissa Scott and more.

It was the place to be and be seen. This was not just a premiere, but a celebration of love. From fans to friends, everyone in attendance was there in support of Da Brat and Judy. The evening kicked off with a red carpet of cast members and celebrity attendees. Once inside, there was music, good food, hookahs, and drinks. And then the premiere came on attention was shifted to all of the television screens on the walls.

Brat Loves Judy” brings audiences a never-before-seen look into the world of veteran hip-hop artist and two-time Grammy Award-nominee, Da Brat, and her girlfriend Jesseca “Judy” Dupart, the multi-millionaire business owner and CEO of Kaleidoscope Hair Products, as they navigate their new relationship – from building a new home together and growing their budding careers to couples therapy, dealing with meddling loved ones, and a surprise proposal. Family and friends featured on the series include Judy’s adult daughter, Deja and Deja’s infant daughter Kenzie; Bella, Brat’s manager and confidante; Brat’s friend Montana and his wife Rhonda; and of course, Brat and Judy’s six dogs – Staxx, Rockie, Fat Boy, Loyal, Fendi, and Rebel – among others. The series also features a surprise appearance by Brat’s sister LisaRaye McCoy, as the siblings dig deeper into their strained relationship.

No relationship is perfect; however, you can see the love shared between the two of them that has kept their two-year relationship solid despite the highs and lows of learning one another. You definitely get to see another side of Da Brat that has not been very public. Sharing a very vulnerable side of her is why Ty Young was very accurate when she stated, “love wins” when asked how she felt about being there to celebrate the premiere of the show. One could only be happy for both Da Brat and Judy.

If you have not tuned in, it is a must-see show!

“Brat Loves Judy” airs Thursdays at 9/8c on WE tv.
