LaQueda Ricks, Creator of Dream Fearlessly Life Coaching helps both Corporate Professionals and Creative Entrepreneurs Develop a Vision For Their Endeavors

LaQueda Ricks is a southern belle hailing from Louisiana and has established a multifaceted career path that helps both corporate professionals and creative entrepreneurs to develop a vision for their endeavors. Her colleagues refer to her as the traveling vision-ista who is passionate about teaching people how to soar limitlessly beyond small-dreams. As an advocate for women empowerment, mental health, and travel, LaQueda pioneered “Wonder Woman Wednesday”, which is a support-based community group on Facebook.

Ms. Ricks’ prowess in coaching people to manifest their goals with intention compelled her to create Dream Fearlessly Life Coaching. Dream Fearlessly Life Coaching is a private practice that assists women with excavating their undiscovered talent and reaching success that is connected to their purpose + soul’s desire. In addition to serving as the CEO, LaQueda is also a certified Travel Advisor and Master Life Coach who is laser-focused on helping others to achieve a momentous breakthrough in every area of their life.

As an alumna of LeTourneau University with a B. A. in Human Resource Management, LaQueda has a hybrid role as an employee and visionary consultant for her job. She has innovatively structured a vision strategy to exponentially fortify + expand its mission. In this position, she is a pillar of purpose, as well as a Human Resources professional with 18+ years of experience. Aside from serving as an HR connoisseur, she is also a certified Travel Advisor, Speaker, and Master Life Coach.

LaQueda hosts vision board parties and conferences that prompt the participants to experience the world for themselves through their distinct vision, one place at a time. Ms. Ricks mastered the art
of positive thinking and visualization after overcoming a series of dire life challenges. In March 2020, she was diagnosed with Covid-19, which caused her to magnify her manifestations of leadership so that she could crush her goals with confidence. Once she achieved this, she vowed to God that she would help others reach their wildest dreams.

When the traveling vision-ista is not creating vision boards, working with coaching clients, empowering women or glued to a computer screen, she is spending time with her four amazing young adults, globe-trotting with fellow visionaries, and taking meditation walks in her neighborhood.

We Empower Magazine got an exclusive interview with LaQueda.

LaQueda Ricks

Hi LaQueda, we love chatting with women who are advocates for women empowerment, mental health such as yourself. Please tell us how “Wonder Woman Wednesday”support-based community group on Facebook came about?

LaQueda: Support and love for women….that’s how it started. Women are so amazing, I believe we can do anything, and we’re not celebrated enough. Wonder Woman Wednesday is a reflection of strength, courage, agility, beauty, and independence. Almost every day, I meet women that continue to inspire me, whether it’s women that beat the odds, women that lead in the board rooms, or women that continue to pave the way for other amazing women. We can all learn so much from each other, so I wanted to highlight women and introduce them to my Facebook friends and family. What I’ve come to realize over the years is that it’s not hurting me to celebrate the next woman. Empowered Women, Empower Women.

Women continue to lead in everything; starting businesses, getting degrees, holding top positions, and the list goes on and on. Why not celebrate GREATNESS? When one wins, we ALL WIN. Our Facebook community is all about connection, support, and sisterhood. We’ve done virtual events during Covid and will soon be planning an in-person event. Wonder Woman Wednesday will now have LIVE segments that will be streamed on Facebook and Instagram. I’ll be highlighting some amazing women every Wednesday at 7 pm CST.

When you first discovered your calling to become a life coach, what impact did you intend to make?

LaQueda: Wow! I wanted to be intentional and purposeful! When women looked at me, I wanted them to know that if I can make it out of the situations that were supposed to kill me, they could too. I wanted women to walk with a new mindset and feel empowered. As women, we wear so many hats, and sometimes we lose our identity in our children, spouses, and careers. My goal is to help women discover their soul’s desires, manifest their goals, and live life on purpose and fearlessly.

We understand that you are also a travel advisor, what are some fun and memorable places you have traveled to?

LaQueda: I’ve been to some unique places both in the United States and outside of the United States. Some of my favorite places I’ve visited in the US are Portland, Seattle, New York, and Miami; I’ve been to many more, but these are the cities that I love, and many memories were created there. And let’s not talk about outside of the US; the most memorable places were Jamaica, Cancun, St. Lucia, Cozumel, Hawaii, Paris, and Amsterdam. The next place I’m headed is to the Maldives!

With all that you do, how do you manage your mental health?

LaQueda: For me, I believe in managing my mental health at all costs. I love traveling and spending time with the people I love. I get massages on the regular, and I work out at least four times a week. I’ve learned to embrace the Power in the Pause. Before Covid, I was always on the go and working, but now I don’t feel bad for turning off the computer and cuddling up on my sofa to watch Netflix. We let social media tell us that to be a boss, you always have to be working and hustling, but that’s the furthest from the truth. It’s okay not to do anything for a day; it’s okay to ignore phone calls; it’s okay not to answer emails. All of that will still be there after your Pause.

What do you enjoy most about the work that you do?

LaQueda: The fact that I’m able to see women win is what I enjoy most! Nothing warms my heart more than working with a client, and they have that breakthrough moment. When women discover God’s purpose for their lives and are no longer scared to walk in it…I’m celebrating with them! I don’t take the assignment that God has placed on me lightly because I ran from it for years. Even when I’m scrolling on social media, I’m super excited when I see the next woman winning!

What are you currently working on?

LaQueda: Well, I’ve participated in my first Anthology with a fantastic group of female coaches. That book is being released on August 10, 2021. After writing my part in the Anthology, I knew it was time to share my personal story, so I’ll be writing my book soon, so I’m excited about that. I’m working on a dope inspirational T-shirt line. And I’ll have a lot of digital products that will be ready by September. And last but certainly not least, I’ve finally embraced the public speaking arena, so I’m speaking at many virtual events and can’t wait to start doing them in person.

What do you want your legacy to look like?

LaQueda: I want my children, grandchildren, and future husband to be proud! I want to be known as a woman who made an impact in the world! And when my life is done, I want people to know that I’ve lived every day to the fullest.

What else would you like our reader to know about you?

LaQueda: I’m an ordinary woman with big dreams, my life hasn’t been perfect, and I still make mistakes, but I get back up and keep moving. I learned you couldn’t just put a “Jesus Blanket” on stuff and pray that it works; you have to put some action behind your plans. I love God, but I love trap music, too, lol! I have a great foundation, and I also have a great village around me that keeps me covered in prayer. One lesson that I’ve learned and remind myself often is, My worth is not determined by what works and what doesn’t. I ask God every day to help me celebrate the small victories in life just like I celebrate the big ones. And to also keep me calm in the wait while he’s positioning me for my next phase of life,

How can we keep up to date with all you have going on?

LaQueda: Follow me on all social media platforms. I love interacting with people! And it’s me that’s commenting, lol! I’m trying to get into TikTok but haven’t mastered the transitions and cool stuff it offers
