Independent Filmmaker Day is a network of directors, producers, actors, and creators involved in the film industry. IFD helps independent creators from around the world develop new projects, connect within the industry. At each one of the events, you will hear from acclaimed industry experts concerning screenwriting, producing, funding, marketing, music, post-production, and distribution. Prior to the pandemic, the privately-held industry event took place alongside notable film festivals such as Sundance, and Tiff. During the pandemic, Independent Filmmaker Day shifted to virtually held events which allowed a wider audience. The next Independent Filmmaker Day will take place virtually on March 24 & 25th 2021.
“This was by far the best panel event I’ve been to. The panels covered numerous areas of the industry that all filmmakers need to be aware of while being presented in a format that was easily digestible.”
— Vanessa Meadows, Women in Film Panel (International Filmmaker Day at TIFF 2019)
