Tammy Reese: Describe yourself in 3 words?
Tiffany Jackson: Practical, Realistic, and Ambitious.
Tammy Reese: What inspired you to become an Author?
Tiffany Jackson: A tragedy involving my daughter’s father in the mid-year of 2016, 7/3/16 to be exact pushed me to write about my healing process and my testimony on how I got through losing a loved one. Writing is therapeutic for me and writing is one of the contributing factors that helped birth my autobiography.
Tammy Reese: Please tell me about your books?
Tiffany Jackson:  Still Standing: Keeping The Faith After My Loss is my autobiography. It’s to help someone out there who has experienced a loss and needs that extra encouragement. That inspiration. If I have helped just 1 person within my target audience heal, I feel like I’ve helped an auditorium filled with people. I just wanted to be a blessing to someone and give back to my community by letting them know, I’ve been there, I’m a phone call away and we’re in this together but please keep God first.
I’ve co-authored 3 other books. 1. She Wouldn’t Let Me Fall. 2. Women Overcome Through Writing. 3.When Healing Hurts.
Tammy Reese: How has photography made an impact on you?
Tiffany Jackson: Being a photographer, I get to show that young lady who thinks she’s an outcast that she is beautiful, unique, and in a class all on her own.

I get to encourage someone through my pictures. I get to show them that “They Can” or that they are Handsome or that they’re a Queen so fix your crown. That’s how being a photographer has impacted me.

Tammy Reese: What do you love most about the work that you do?
Tiffany Jackson: What I love most about what I do is that I get to give back in some way and make someone’s day.
Tammy Reese: When you think of the word “Empowerment” what comes to mind?
Tiffany Jackson: The word Empowerment means the word STRONGER to me. I can make every effort to “get it” on my own but together, with you helping me or me helping you, we become stronger!
Tammy Reese: How do you balance family and career?
Tiffany Jackson: Balancing family and career, I’m still trying and still learning with that one. But what I do know is that my family is very important to me so most of the time, I’m creating my schedule around the needs and wants of my family.
Tammy Reese: What is an obstacle in your life that resulted in triumph?
Tiffany Jackson:  Losing my daughter’s father when my daughter was 4 months old was a major triumph for me. It was unexpected and experiencing that had me lost like what’s next?
I was lost for a while and didn’t know what to do. I had my own home but found myself traveling from place to place to stay with family members.
That tragedy and the small events following that inspires me to Keep God First, stay prayed up, and keep focused. To live daily and pursue your goals, and to have a plan!
Tammy Reese: What valued lessons have you taken from 2020 into 2021?
Tiffany Jackson: Valued lessons that I took with me from 2020 to 2021 would be to stop with the grudges because tomorrow is never promised, love thy neighbor, and to tell your family and friends that you love them.
Tammy Reese: What can we be on the lookout for from you?
Tiffany Jackson: Lord willing, I am looking to complete a children’s book this year, getting better with photography and getting better as a nail technician.
Tammy Reese: What words of encouragement would you leave our readers to uplift them during these unprecedented times?
Tiffany Jackson: Words of encouragement I would leave to uplift our readers would be to never give up. No matter what it looks like. If God says yes, then that’s just what it is. Everyone might not agree with you with some things… You might walk alone but if God is on your side, who can be against you?? ROMANS 8:31.
